TUPRAS Izmir Ref. 150 T/H Capacity K-9 Steam Boiler and Concerete Stack Manufacturing and Installation Works

The civil works erection and installations of the K-9 Steam Boiler with a capacity of 150t/h and concrete chimney commissioned by the Izmir Refinery Management of the Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corp. was carried out by ORDINAT. - Procuring the 150t/h capacity SD-33 type boiler from Foster Wheeler Iberia S.A. (FWISA) and completing its erection. - Construction of the 95m reinforced concrete chimney, applying seventy two foundation steel piles of 65 cm diameter for the foundation of the chimney and boiler. A total of 1.383m³ concrete was used in the chimney’s foundation, and 1.200m² of concrete for the body (shaft) of the chimney. Installation of steel construction of the maintenance platforms, steam powered forced fan for burning air and an economizer. - Procurement of boiler automation software for the eight existing boilers and constructed K-9 boiler. - Installation of the feeding system, and an automation system which will allow the individual or combined operation of the existing and new boiler and new and old dearetors, the procurement and installation of one 500m³/h capacity new dearetor. - Procurement and installation of one steam turbine driven feed water pump and two steam turbine driven demineralized water pumps. - Installation of the chimney flue gas ducts for the new and existing boilers and the internal and external piping of the project.
