TUPRAS Field Manufacturing and Installation Works of U-300 and U-400 Compressors

• This project at the TUPRAS Aliaga/IZMIR Refinery is required to necessary construction, mechanical, instrumentation and electrical works for replacing relatively low efficiency C-301, C-302, C-401 compressors which serve the U-300 and U-400 units with new high efficiency reciprocating compressors as a part of Energy Efficiency Maximization Project.

• CONSTRUCTION WORKS:
• Demolition of the former board building and its foundations next to the existing shelter, disassembly works of all foundations and old infrastructure manholes and the lines between them and the blocking of the connections to the existing system with the appropriate methods while performing these works, the foundation and all infrastructure works for the new 3 compressors and their auxiliary equipment, construction of foundations for compressor shelter  which compressors put in.
• Construction works adjacent to new and existing racks which support all piping to the new compressor shelter.
• All new manholes, floor drains, catch basins and all pipe connections between them related with new oily water separator (OWS) and closed drainage (CD) infrastructure systems that established in this area.
• All necessary main and secondary cable trays, conduit assemblies and various equipment foundations were done for connection to the main system.

• MECHANICAL WORKS:
• Assembly works of C-303A/B and C-402 compressors and assembly works of their 2 knock out (K/O) drum and 2 Drip Leg Drum were done.
• Pipe manufacturing and assembly works were done inside the C-303A/B and C-402 compressor building and between the compressor building and the unit tie-in points.
• 
  
• ELECTRICAL WORKS:
• Energy connections of mechanical equipment, lighting, grounding and lightning protection installations of all new steel structures and platforms have been made.
• Conduits, cable trays, ducts and wiring works and testing, calibrating and commissioning of electrical infrastructure have been completed.
• 
  
• INSTRUMENT WORKS:
• Instrument assembly works and also hook-up assembly works of these instruments, instrument / junction box / board-panel connection works, conduits, cable trays, ducts, wiring works of the instrumentation infrastructure required for all these systems, calibration of instruments, function tests and commissioning works have been completed.
