The project including facilities capable of simultaneously supplying jet fuel to 16 bridges (38 hydrant pits) and 20 parking aircrafts (54 hydrant pits) at Medina-Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport Fuel Hydrant System agreementis signed in April 2013. Project will be completed in May 2014. The projectscope is:
- Procurement and installation of 5.448m 20”, 7.080m 16”, 654m 6” jet fuel pipelines (100% radiographically controlled),
- Procurement and installation of 92 Fuel Hydrant Pits and 30 High/Low Point Pits,
- Installation of 22 pcs 20” and 16” Double Block Bleed Valves (DBBV) with the necessary piping works and instruments in 6 Valve Vaults for Leak Detection System (LDS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD).
- Installation of the cathodic protection systems operated from an electronic paneland use sacrificial anodes.
