OPET Marmara Terminal Storage And Filling Facility Jetty Pipelines Construction And Installation Works

The manufacturing and erection of 11 pipelines (totally 24.200m) through thedistance of 2.200m between the jetty and Filling and Storage Plant of OPETPetroleum Co. with a capacity of 459.000m³ in Marmara Ereğlisi-Tekirdağ werecompleted in the following stages:
- Each line (10 PE coated steel pipes between 24” and 8” and 1 each DN355 PEpipe) were manufactured and mounted within a preconstructed 1.300m concretechannel onto the installed steel supports and within a 900m new trench of 9mwidth.
- After completion of welding works, welded areas were sand blasted for Sa2½grade of cleanliness and then wrapped with insulation bands.
- After insulation of the lines, the surfaces were checked for pinholes by using17.500 Volts Holiday detector and the defected areas were repaired.
- Mounted pipelines were controlled by hydrostatic test at 30bar and then coveredby sand.
