1200MW natural gas powered Hamitabat Combined Cycle Power Plant is designed for duel fuel operationof the gas turbine units during natural gas interruptions in emergency to produce electricity, gas oil (diesel oil) will be used as backup in case natural gas is not available. This project involved:
Civil works:
- Tank dike area & fuel storage tank reinforced concrete foundations,
- Fire water tank reinforced concrete foundation,
- 250 meters length reinforced concrete road construction that connects new facility to existing roads,
- Pump station, utility building, weighing bridge building and fire water pump station steel construction & reinforced concrete foundation works.
Mechanical works:
- 2x6.000m³ gas oil storage cone roof type tanks (22.9m diameter, 14.9m height) with floating suction arms and heating coils fabrication and erection, internal and external coating and painting. 1x500m³ fire water storage cone roof tank (9,5m diameter, 7,5m height) fabrication and erection, internal and external coating and painting and insulation.
- Pump Station, tanker unloading stations, firewater pump station pumps, meters, air eliminator, filters and valves and instruments procurement, erection and pipe works.
- Underground and aboveground elevation unloading and forwarding lines, inside dike, fire water sprinkler and foam line pipeline works, establishing cathodic protection for all underground piping lines, painting and insulations.
- Two hot water boiler procurement & erection, at the inlet of each gas turbine, procurement & installation of four plate type heat exchangers to heat the fuel oil to maintain fuel viscosity kept within 1.5-6 cSt.
-A 80 tons capacity weighing bridge (truck scale) for weighing the road tankers procurement, construction and installation works.
- Procurement of laboratory equipment.
