Natural Gas Infrastructure Construction Works tor Aliağa Organized Industrial District (ALOSBI) were completed in 2007 as follows:
- 150.000Nm³/h capacity RMS-A station,
- Supply ot 11 RS-B stations with capacity of 10,000-25.000Nm³/h,
- Design of the natural gas pipeline and putting into operation,
- Erection of 75m high pressure (75 bar) 16” API 5L Gr.X52-PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 3.980m high pressure (75 bar) 12” API 5L Gr.X52-PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 3.230m medium pressure (24 Bar) 12’ API 5L Gr.B RE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 2.570m medium pressure (24 Bar) 10” API 5L Gr.B PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 2.720m medium pressure (24 Bar) 8” API 5L Gr.B PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 2.350m medium pressure (24 Bar) 6” API 5L Gr.B PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 10 m medium pressure (24 Bar) 4” API 5L Gr.B PE coated steel pipes,
- Erection of 23.000m low pressure (4 bar) polyethylene natural gas pipes.
Totally 15.000m steel pipes and 23.000m DN63-DN250 SDR ll-PE 80 polyethylene pipes have been laid. Natural gas received from BOTAŞ Aliağa station has been delivered to 150.000Nm3/h capacity RMS-A station via 4 km long 12” high pressure pipeline and from this station distributed to 1 ea. 25.000Nm³/h capacity and 10 ea. 70.000Nm³/h capacity RS-B stations via medium pressure pipeline. After reducing the pressure of natural gas down to 4bar in these stations, the gas has been distributed to the factories and parcels via polyethylene pipelines. All mechanical, electrical and construction works of this project including cathodic protection and erection of 40 valve groups have been completed in 8 mounts according to the BOTAŞ (Turkish Petroleum Pipelines Co.) and IZMIRGAZ (Izmir Natural Gas Distribution Co.) Standards and the system was put into operation in August 2007.
